Gloria “Glo” R. Motley 64, gained her wings on January 26, 2020 after a short battle with cancer.
Gloria was born on February 4, 1956 in Akron, Ohio to the late Annie Ruth (Prohet) Motley and Thomas H. Motley Sr.
Gloria attended Akron Public Schools upon graduating June of 1974 from South High School. Gloria was employed for numerous of years for the City of Akron as well as Akron Metropolitan Housing. She also enjoyed driving Limos for a Limousine service part time.
Gloria loved her family and enjoyed life to her most fullest. She loved to sing in many talent shows around Akron with her group Mediation. She enjoyed traveling and taking road trips. She loved taking the kids fishing and doing outdoors things with them. You could also go to Glo’s to hang out eat and have fun, but watch out cause she would cuss your ass out.
Gloria is preceded in death by her father, Thomas H. Motley Sr.; mother, Annie Ruth (Prophet) Motley; sisters, Theresa Motley, Patricia Elimore; brothers, Raymond Motley, Leonard Motley, Thomas (Beatrice) Motley and Elbert (Linda) Motley; special friend, Larry McCraney.
Gloria leaves to cherish her loving memory son, Nathaniel (Darnell) Motley; nephew, Cameron L. Motley; daughter, Tanisha “Tay” Motley; sisters, Deborah Motley and Quinsella Motley; brothers, Maple “Leo” Motley Sr. and Carl Motley; 9 grandchildren; special niece/caregiver, Theresa Motley Williams; best friend, Beverly Paynther; special friend (cousin), Gwendolyn Prophet, The Cincinnati Family and a host of family and friends.
