James Robert McPherson, 73, of Alliance, passed on Saturday,October 16, 2021, surrounded by his loving family.

He was born on April 20, 1948, in Halls, Tennessee, the eldest son of the late Ella Jarman and James W. McPherson. He lived in the Alliance area 67 years and was a member of New Zion Baptist Church.

He was preceded in by his parents; sister, Lorraine Taylor; brothers, Spencer Taylor, and Mack Avery. His maternal grandmother who raised him, Sarah Elizabeth Jarman, and his paternal grandparents.

Left to cherish his memories are 3 sisters, Sarah (Gary) Thompson of Alliance, OH, Karen May and Debra Avery of Canton, OH; 4 brothers, NealMcPherson, George (Margaret Ann) McPherson, Arthur Avery, Craige (Ranada) Averyall of Canton, OH; aunt Mary Luecille Smith; uncle Collier Banks and a host of other family and friends.

A funeral will be held at 12 noon on Saturday, October 23, 2021, at New Zion Baptist Church. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be at Alliance City Cemetery.
