In Loving Memory Of

Janet Elizabeth High

Sunrise: May 7, 1961
Sunset: February 3, 2022

Janet Elizabeth High completed her earthly assignment and gracefully received her wings on Thursday, February 3, 2022. Janet was the grand finale of the late William (Buddy) and Pearl Yvonne High. She was born May 7, 1961in Canton, Ohio.

Janet is preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Arthur and Elizabeth High; maternal grandfather, Jamie Fonts and maternal grandmother, Janet Earley. She is reunited with her dearly departed siblings, Gordon L. High, Shana V. Garner and Arden Ray High.

Janet lived to care for others and devoted her entire 39+ year nursing career to manifesting her commitment to the Florence Nightingale Pledge. Janet showed up for her life and those she loved with intention, purpose and compassion. She enjoyed traveling as often as she could to places that would take her breath away. She took pride in cooking for her family, baking on holidays or anytime to spread her love from the oven. She could commentate on sports with the best of them. She had a diverse palate for music and kept a camera ready to catch a moment that could embarrass us all. Janet found great pleasure in sunbathing from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and enjoying the Sunkist glow she loved so much. She loved most the warmth of those she held closest to heart, her family and friends.

Janet leaves to cherish and hold dear her most beautiful memories, the love of her life, her one and only son, Karlos (Tamieka) Jackson; four granddaughters, Krystiena, Kaitlyn, Kirsten and Kyleigh; two grandsons, Karlos, II and Kendrick; one Great-grandson, Karter Darnae’; two brothers, Kevin High and Dr. Craig S. (Teresa) High; one sister, Annette Williamson; two Sisters-in-love, Geneva Robinson and Cynthia High; three honorary sisters, Kimberly Dove, Kelly Ball and Dianne Brown; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, co-workers, friends, and her Bethesda Temple Church Family.
