Joseph D. Anderson, 19, of Cuyahoga Falls, passed away unexpectedly on June 24, 2021.

He was born on January 23rd, 2002, to Christopher and Laura (Jackson) Anderson.

Joseph was studying engineering at the University of Akron, Williams Honors College. He liked building, designing, and inventing. He was an avid video gamer who built his own gaming computer, programmed his own games, and excelled in multiplayer Mario Kart challenges when at Cuyahoga Falls schools. Joseph also collected and loved to solve many variations of Rubik’s Cubes, and spent countless hours with his vast Lego collection.  Other interests include Dragon Ball Z and Pokemon. He had a tender heart and a love for animals and nature.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Larry Jackson. Joseph is survived by his parents; grandparents, Jean Jackson and James and Pollie Anderson; aunts and uncle, Angie, Andrea, James, and Rachel; and numerous cousins and relatives.

Calling hour will be held on Thursday, July 1, 2021, from 3:00 until 5:00 pm at Sommerville Funeral Services, 1695 Diagonal Rd., Akron, Oh 44320. Memorial service will begin at 5:00 pm.
