Journei’s journey began June 8, 2018, with her parents, Alaijah Tolbert and Talynt Beasley, in Akron, Oh. She was a vibrant little princess with an affinity for the color pink-, lip gloss and TikTok. She was a very sweet and helpful child who liked to dress up and knew how to own her “SASSY,” and would often say, “PERIOD POO”. She loved playtime with her besties, MyMy, Remy, Zuri, and Imani, aka “The Glam Squad,” and enjoyed talking with people.
In her brief time, Journei touched so many lives that her memory will be cherished forever as the gift that it was.
Meeting our Darling Journei in Heaven’s Playground are her “Papa,” David Lacey Sr. (Sue), and “Auntie”, Jaymeisha Beasley.
She leaves to cherish the beautiful memories; her “Mommy”, Alaijah, “Daddy”, Talynt, sister, “Ari”, her “Granny Girl”, Nicole Tolbert, “PawPa”, Gregory Tolbert Jr.; “Grandma Lonnie”, Shalesha Beasley and Grandpa Richard Murkins; great grandparents, Nancy (James), Renetta (Charles), Gloria, and Gregory Sr; uncles, De’Myric (Desteny), and Da’Mylan; aunts, Tatyana, Janea, Jazzimine, Tymeca, and Desiree; great aunts, Jocelyn, Dorothy, Charron, Tawanna and Benette;
great uncles, David (Latoria) Cameron Sr., Johnathan, and Roniel. She also leaves her “TiTi Mom”, Keya and a host of other family and friends.
Journei always ended her greetings with others with one saying, and today we say it to her, “It was very nice to meet you!”
