Lecount (Lee) McCall was born August 30, 1950 to the late Arthur and Sarah McCall in Fairfield, Alabama. He was the ninth of eleven born to this union.

Lee attended Akron Public schools, graduating from Buchtel High school, where he later became an Alumni. Lee worked for the city of Akron highway dept. for 34 years retiring in Feb 2010.

Lee was an active member Mason, Pride of Rubber town elks lodge 1594, coached the “playmates” softball team, while also playing himself for the 40 & over baseball league. He participated with the traveling bowling team for over 15 years. He was a sports writer for “The Reporter” newspaper, Keeping his grandkids & relatives on the front page and had a passion for baseball and bowling, while playing cards in his spare time. His favorite food was Franco American spaghetti with cheese & hot sauce and baked beans. Lee was very active in supporting his grandchildren’s sporting events. He was a member of Royal Arch Mason Zerubbabel Chapel #40, Nobles Al Kaf Temple #109 Aeaonms, Master Mason and Phoenix Lodge #112.

Lee was a fun person to be around, and would give you many laughs. Everyone enjoyed the laughter that happened at the trunk of his car. You were sure to have smile on your face in his presence.

Lee was preceded by his parents, the late Arthur and Sarah McCall; siblings, Darrell and Charles McCall; sisters, Mary Tabler, Gloria Tucker and Rev. Mattie Stewart.

Left to cherish his memories, lifetime partner, Yolanda Core; daughters, LeCarla Hearn of Glendale AZ, Penny Hudson (Spartanburg SC),Brittany McCants Akron Oh; son, Aregeros Turner Sr. of Akron, Oh; stepchildren, Larry Sutton & Deawna Core; grandchildren, LeCarla “Tuffy” Hearn of Spartanburg SC, Charles “PacMan” and Porshae Hearn both of Glendale AZ, Antonio Hearn of Akron, Oh, Kristopher King, Tre Walker, Janae, Aregeros II and Jayland Turner, Branden & Dejane Spinks; Jovon Bonner, Jashawn and Jayanah Sutton, Zayvion Caldwell and Major Hardaway all of Akron, Oh; great grand children- Aniya Hackett of Spartanburg SC, Zaiden, Zavaiya, Zylen Hearn, JoVonni Campbell all of Glendale AZ, Kamyra and Khristopher King II, Eli, Jayla , and Tra’miya Walker all of Akron Oh; siblings, Deliah Tabler, Sandra James, Lillie (Paul) Evans, Ezzard McCall, Carlisa (Curtis) Allen all of Akron Oh and host of nieces & nephews, & extended family the Henderson’s.
