Markeda S. Newby 37, of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio went home to be with the Lord on November 26, 2019. Markeda was born in Chicago, IL on March 28, 1982 to Steven Smith and Marilyn Renee Whitney.
Markeda accepted Jesus into her heart as a teenager and firmly held on to the profession of her faith until she was called home. She loved the Lord and therefore dedicated her life to helping others. She utilized her God given talents to inspire, motivate and uplift others while touching the lives of many.
In her service of the lord, she founded Moving Beyond Hope an organization dedicated to helping families through financial coaching. She authored a book entitled “ When Life Pushes, Push Back, she did radio work and hosted a podcast “ Monday motivation with Markeda Newby. Markeda hosted empowerment seminars to uplift the community.
Markeda was the life of the party, she loved family and the meaning of family she loved to fellowship and rejoice with her family around.
Markeda met the love of her life Chris Newby at the age of 15, they were high school sweet hearts and later married. They had such a love and unity for each other that divorce was never an option. No matter the trial or the tribulation they endured together their love and unity for each other is what they treasured the most. They treasured the holy of God’s word and kept their promise of love to each other until Markeda was called home.
Markeda was proceeded in death by her grandmother, Ruthie M Whitney; Uncle Derrick Whitney, Robert P. Whitney and her Mother-in-law Jerry Sewell. She will be missed by her best friend and loving husband of 21 years her “ Superman” Chris Newby; the pride of her life son Markese Newby; Parents Steven Smith and Marilyn R. Whitney, her only brother, G.B. Whitney; Nieces, I’teona, Nevaeh, Nianna and Ci’anna. Aunts Carolyn and Torrie Whitney: Uncles Danny, Anton, Revelle (Corliss), Eddye (Jaden), father-in-law, John Newby and two very special friends Letitia Frazier and Alishea Gay. She also leaves her precious dog Princess Diana and a host of cousins and loved ones.
