Robert Lee Fountain Jr., age 85, of Alliance, Ohio peacefully transitioned surrounded by his family on Monday, May 17th, 2021, in the comfort of his home.
He was born January 13th, 1936, in Tams, West Virginia to Beatrice Beauchamp and Robert L. Fountain Sr.
A U.S. Air Force Veteran, Robert was a member of Victory Christian Center Church. He was a passionate Cleveland Browns fan and loved enjoying time with his family. He enjoyed doing several hobbies including fixing up his 1969 Camaro and doing upholstery. He worked for Transue and Williams, the Alliance Community Hospital, and the Senior Citizens Center. Eventually he became a crossing guard for Alliance City Schools and retired from the Alliance Health Department.
Those left behind to cherish his memories include his devoted wife, Yvonne Jones-Fountain; sister, Linda Johnson; brother, Earnest (Savanna) Dobbins; daughters, Pamela Fountain, Patricia Fountain, Deborah Fountain-Wilkes, Lori (Robert Oliver Jr) Fountain; sons, Jerome Fountain, Robert (Frani Wagner) Fountain III, Clinton Fountain-Smith; sisters in law, Kim (Mike) Hatcher, Sharon Jones, Patricia Mays, and Tim Jones.
His grandchildren whom he adored Kierra (Devon Edwards) Fountain, Zaviona (Caleb Phillips) Fountain, Sh’Diamond Oliver, Robert (Markesha) Fountain IV, Robion Fountain, La”Trisha Jackson, Chivon Hunt, Keili Fountain, Teré, TeRonn, Terrel Wilkes, Terrance Fountain, Lavelle Fountain, Rashead Babbs, and Summer Babbs.
He also leaves behind his beloved furbaby, Bentley, 28 great-grandchildren, and an abundance of nieces and nephews.
He was proceeded in death by his parents; sisters, Barbara West and Patricia Townes; brother, Ramon Dobbins Jr; grandson, DeSaen Fountain.
The family greatly appreciates and thanks the Aultman Hospice team for their exceptional care and support the last months of his life.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, May 22nd, 2021, at Feed My Sheep Ministries. A viewing for the public will be held at noon and services for family and friends will begin at 1:00pm.
