Shirley Lee Watson was born Thursday February 2, 1950 in Darlington, SC to the union of the late Charles Durant Sr. and Rosalee Durant -Kirkpatrick. Shirley departed this life on May 10, 2021.

Some of her hobbies where playing bid whist and bowling. She loved spending time with family and friends.

She retired from Roadway Inc. and at the time of her death she was employed by Acme.

Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Durant Sr and Rosalee Durant-Kirkpatrick; former spouse, David Lee Watson; daughter, Tyesha Shondell Watson. Brothers Charles Jr., Jimmie, Frank and Jerry Durant; sisters, Juanita Collins and Rebecca Gomez all of Long Branch, NJ; brother in law, Jody Watson and sister in law, Lillian Wilson.

She leaves to cherish her memory sisters, Roberta Tillman and Brenda Durant of Long Branch, NJ; brothers, Paul Durant, Gregory Durant of Long Branch NJ and Donald Vick of NC; sisters in law, Johnnie Watson and Lois (Herbert) Duckworth; daughters, Comisha (Darwin) Griffin of Middleburg FL, Vonetta Watson of Akron, OH and Sonji Watson of Jacksonville, FL; grandchildren, Darnisha Griffin, Charles Watson Sr., Tyesha Watson, Treanna Phillips, and Jordan Griffin; great grandchildren, Dominique Watson, Khalani Manning, and Charles Watson Jr. and a host of family and friends. Special friends, Tempie Porter, Adrianne Glover, and Leslie Palmer.
