Samuel C. Easley went home to be with the lord on Saturday, November 30, 2019 after a short illness.
He was born November 14, 1926 to the late Attorney, Samuel C. Easley Sr. and Annie (French) Easley. He was a lifelong resident of Akron, Ohio and attended Akron public schools.
Samuel worked at United Airlines retiring with over 40 years of Service. He decided he wanted something else to do after a few years, so he went to work at Macy’s for Christmas help, which turned into ten years working part time for Macy’s.
Samuel loved music, especially jazz, and had an extensive music collection. He loved to try to convert people to his love of Classic jazz (old), as opposed to more contemporary styles.
He was preceded in death by parents Attorney, Samuel C Easley Sr. and Annie Easley; son Leighton Easley; siblings Harriet Christmas, Margaret Greene, Lillian Lykes, Annie McClelland, Grace Williams, and Floyd Easley, and special aunts Mattie Cannon and Angeline Hairston.
He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of 67 years Ruth Easley;·children Gail (Michael) Pickett and Roderick Easley; Sister Ida Ford; grandchildren Brian and Austin Davis, Sabrina and Leitia (Devonte) Easley Simpson; great grandchildren Raigen, Ryan, and Nevaeh Davis, Darshawn L. McCraney, Cortez L. Goley, Eviee Easley, Milana Simpson, and Mayen Coker; sister-in-laws Marilyn Jeanette Easley and Eunice Braggs; daughter-in-law Eunice Jones.
He also leaves to cherish his memory a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
