Delois Nelson, 83 of Alliance, Ohio, passed away July 30, 2020, at home following an extended illness. She was born February 2, 1937 in Macon, Mississippi, to the late Fred and Bobbie Lee Riddle.
Delois loved her family and enjoyed life to the fullest. She was active in church from a young age, and was a faithful member of Second Baptist church until her illness. She enjoyed church activities, cooking, (especially bread pudding for her family), bowling, fishing, dancing, reading, crossword puzzles, watching westerns, sports, especially golf and tennis in her later years.
She is survive by children, Kimberly (Earl), Anthony of Alliance, and Iris of Massillon; seven grandchildren, India, Aaron, Anthony, Amber, Karess, Dominic, and Keyarra,; four great-grandchildren, Mahlique, Mekhi, Ezra, and Aphaia; siblings, Ann Young of Twinsburg and Edward Riddle of New York; God-daughter, Jolene Daily; special friend and caregiver, Darla Brooks and a host of other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Bobbie Lee Riddle; husband, Samuel Nelson Jr; siblings, Herman, Mildred, Curtis, Albert, Samuel, Geneva, and Fred.
She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
